Graham Hobbs has been named the Offensive Coordinator for Albany State University, effective Monday, February 23. A rising talent in the coaching ranks, Hobbs brings over a decade of experience across multiple collegiate levels, with a track record of developing dynamic offenses and standout student-athletes.

Before joining the Golden Rams, Hobbs most recently served as the Pass Game Coordinator and Quarterbacks Coach at Virginia Union University. In Hobbs' lone season with the Panthers, the VUU offense was explosive, averaging 40 points per game and over 450 yards per game. Hobbs coached quarterback RJ Rosales, who led the nation in yards per completion. The offense also featured running back Curtis Allen, who became the first HBCU player to win the Harlon Hill trophy.

Prior to arriving at VUU, Hobbs served as the Offensive Coordinator at the University of the South – Sewanee from 2023 to 2024. Throughout his tenure, he implemented a powerful offensive strategy that resulted in consecutive SAA Newcomers of the Year awards. This included dual-threat quarterback Jacorin Thomas, who rushed for over 1,400 yards over two seasons, while also passing for 2,000 yards and recording a total of 26 touchdowns. Under Hobbs' leadership, the Sewanee offense also set a school record with five touchdown passes in a single game during Week 3 of the 2024 season. In addition to his offensive duties, Hobbs oversaw the punt unit, which finished 15th nationally in net punting.

From 2021 to 2022, Hobbs was the Associate Head Coach at Saint Augustine’s University in the CIAA, following a stint as the Running Backs Coach at Western Carolina University (2020–2021). At WCU, he coached 1st Team All-SoCon selection Donnavan Spencer, who finished the season as the seventh-leading rusher in the FCS.

Earlier in his career, Hobbs worked as an Offensive Graduate Assistant at East Carolina University in 2019. In this role, he assisted in coaching the wide receivers and tight ends, including C.J. Johnson, who set the NCAA freshman record for single-game receiving yards. Before ECU, Hobbs coached quarterbacks at North Carolina Central University in 2018, mentoring a two-time MEAC Offensive Player of the Week. From 2016 to 2017, Hobbs was an Offensive GA at Marshall University, contributing to the wide receivers and quarterbacks' room during the Thundering Herd’s 2017 New Mexico Bowl victory. He began his coaching journey at Florida International University (2014–2015) as an Offensive Quality Control coach, working with both quarterbacks and wide receivers.

Hobbs holds two master’s degrees: one in Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Sport Management from NC State University and another in Adult and Continuing Education from Marshall University. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Recreation and Sport Management from Florida International University.

A native of Corapeake, North Carolina, Hobbs was an all-conference and all-area athlete in football, basketball, and baseball at Gates County High School. He and his wife, Kaitlin —married in April 2023 in Nags Head, North Carolina — currently reside in Albany, Georgia.
